"LANDGRAAF" begins in Ford country to understand. A very small piece of history is probably nice for those who have not lived members. After the founding of the club in May 1990 was soon the need for an event with some action in an appealing location.
In 1991, then the first time a Ford event of the land in Baarlo (near Venlo). That first event was nice and big with about 250 visitors for the young Ford XR / RS Club (which then had about 200 members). Because there are many other (small) events were that much time and energy were required of the Board, the event was discontinued in 1994.
The RS Club Swalmen (Leon de Winter Mullekom and Aad) wanted a Ford event with focus on participation of English-RS drivers. The first event of the club was called European RS Event. The idea behind this meeting was (and still is really) to maximize Fordjes from across Europe to get together. The formula proved a resounding success and the event grew explosively, so hard that it almost went under its own success. The will and commitment were there, but the amount of processing tasks for such an event were simply too massive for the then small organization.
This was the event in 1995 by the XR / RS Club adopted. First still Baarlo, but the event grew by more and the location was too small. But fortunately found a new location in Sevenum. This seemed a good choice, but after two years this area was too small.
In 1999, for the first time perched on the giant ground-Pinkpop in Landgraaf. In 1999 much dust lying around the trotting track, but since 2000 a perfect location for our event. Achieving all Ford drivers in Europe and remains a difficult task, but we think now a fairly comprehensive mailing to have sent so that all clubs, businesses, organizations and "normal" interested to know where and when the European Ford Event occurs .

In 2003, and approximately 3,000 visitors, but given the new format in disseminating the information, you can rest assured that this year will be MUCH more. A conservative estimate is one piece or 4000 visitors. Just go after, 4000 visitors in a lot of very nice Fordjes is an exciting spectacle. Just watching the entrance, and all that beauty comes in driving a true pleasure. The club-lane, who in 2003 first saw the light, is an example of how an event continues to grow.
In 2005 the 15th anniversary of the club anyway something that will play at the event. This year there were quite a few innovations. Free candy, carousel and bouncy castle were present this year for the smaller members of the service. The club-Lane received a larger number of entries and then to have the site of a different classification needs. This had several positive effects: it was much easier parking and less congestion, it gave a very full look at the many people come in and brought closer together. For the first time since the middle ground could also be used as a positive effect.

Finally a triviality, but still fun to know: Leon and Aad began organizing the first event (1992) with a cash balance of about $ 200.
